The IC3 System is based on the concept of a configurable, flexible and scalable system. The system is intended to integrate together into a graphical user interface (GUI) various disparate functions such as alarm monitoring, CCTV and telephony.
IC3 is a management information system designed to provide real-time reporting on events and operator activities by integration with control room hardware and software. By introducing the concept of real-time management of events and operations IC3 is capable of generating detailed reports and statistics. IC3 provides standard operating procedures to ensure operator performance and compliance. IC3 is based on a “top down” approach focusing on providing real-time information to specific control room staff when required via the integration with third party products.
The product consists of a variety of standard modules and drivers that can be configured to work together to provide the specific raft of functionality required for a particular customer's needs.
Allied to the functionality are a number of auditing and reporting tools, which may be used to monitor system performance and provide supervisors with essential operational information in real time.
The IC3 system currently allows the integration of the following major functions:
- CCTV – control of video switching, cameras, video recorders, multiplexers, fastscans and video projectors.
- Alarms – monitoring of equipment, intruder detection.
- Audio – control of audio for telephone, headset, fastscan and providing IVR functions
- Access Control – basic door lock control and concierge operation.
- Systems monitoring – audit trail, workstation status, wall boarding and alarm handling analysis.
- Automation (auto-consoles) - actions such as video recording as the result of an alarm, or telephone calls can be automated as the result of an alarm.
